West Ham United can confirm that midfielder Shaun Newton is set to join Leicester City on loan until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old is still waiting for Football League approval and is unlikely to feature in Leicester's trip to Crystal Palace tomorrow, but the deal is expected to go through within the next 24 hours.
Shaun has made 49 league and cup appearances for the Hammers
since signing from Wolves in March 2005, and has played five times
this season under Alan Curbishley, who brought him through the
ranks at Charlton Athletic in the early 90s.
