West Ham United have been handed a home tie against
Premiership rivals Watford in the FA Cup fourth round.
Following our 3-0 third round victory over Brighton & Hove
Albion on Saturday, Hammers's number seven ball was the third
picked out in the draw hosted by Sir Trevor Brooking at the
FA's Soho Square headquarters this afternoon.
Watford, who beat Stockport County 4-1 in their third round clash
at the weekend, are already scheduled to travel to Upton Park soon
for our Premiership encounter in early February.
Manager Alan Curbishley says: "Like most fans, I was listening to the draw and was delighted when we were handed home advantage.
"We can now enjoy a home game against Premiership opposition and I've no doubt there will be a great atmosphere at Upton Park on the day.
"We play Watford in the Premiership just two weeks after
the FA Cup clash, but I'm sure that both clubs will be looking
forward to the tie."
The fourth round tie is to be played on the weekend of January
27/28. Ticket arrangements for the match will be announced here on
whufc.com as soon as they are confirmed.
