Luis Boa Morte feels he has settled in well at Upton Park since joining from Fulham last month but he knows a win against Watford will make life much sweeter.
"I've enjoyed my time here so far," he said. "I've felt very welcomed by everyone and I feel happy and settled.
"But we haven't won and that's been unfortunate. We have collected some points but we're looking forward to putting together a winning run."
The 29-year-old midfielder went straight in at the deep end when he faced his former club in his first Premiership match for the Hammers.
"It was strange situation but I knew that it would come at some point," he said. "It was good that it came sooner rather than later.
"There was a heartbreaking finish to that game but we have had to get on with it. We have to play Watford on Saturday and we have to win."
Luis paid tribute to Hammers fans, who he believes will play a key role in the crucial conclusion to the Club's season.
"The atmosphere here is really good," he said. "The supporters are really passionate and they want to get behind the team.
"Of course they get frustrated when things don't happen but we always work hard to give them something to cheer about - we want to give them something to be happy about. We need the fighting spirit."
