West Ham United supporters attending tonight's match
against Chelsea will be treated to some pre-match entertainment in
the form of a vocal performance by Icelandic opera singer
Cortes.
The upcoming young tenor - who is of course a fellow countryman
of our chairman Eggert Magnusson - is currently at number one in
the HMV classical bestseller ratings, and will provide a brief
display of his talents in front of 35,000 fans at Upton Park just
before kick-off this evening.
Cortes's performance will include a unique version of
'I'm forever blowing bubbles' and a burst of the
Pavarotti classic 'Nessum Dorma'.
