After the Hammers' 3-0 defeat at Bramall Lane, Alan
Curbishley today insisted: "There's still a long way to
go."
"We know we have to win the majority of our games. That hasn't changed. We play Chelsea on Wednesday, then Everton and we have to give it our best shot.
"Things can change dramatically in a week but we have to win. We've got to score some goals and the reason we got beat today is we had great opportunities but we didn't take them."
Reflecting on the defeat, Curbs said: "The first goal is always important. Sheffield United started on the front foot and we lacked the final pass in the first half.
"We had a couple of chances and we needed to take one. We got done on set plays again today and that's happened too often."
