Hayden Mullins was in a buoyant mood after scoring the
goal that earned his team a vital 1-0 win against Sheffield United
on Saturday.
The Hammers midfielder headed his second Premiership strike of the
season in the 36th minute to secure all three points against Neil
Warnock's men and admitted afterwards that it was a crucial
victory for Alan Pardew's men.
"It was a massive game for us," said Hayden. "We
knew it would put a bit of distance between us and them, so
it's a vital three points.
"It's been a good week for me, after signing the new
contract in the week and scoring the winner today. I scored my
first Premiership goal a couple of weeks ago against Blackburn, and
it was nice to pop up again with the winner this time.
"We've been working on that near-post corner quite a lot
in training, and I'm just happy to have got another goal and
helped the team to an important win."
