Young Hammers winger Kyel Reid has followed in the
footsteps of team-mate Hogan Ephraim by heading out on loan to a
Championship side today.
Greenwich born Reid, who celebrates his 19th birthday this coming
Sunday, has joined Barnsley in a one-month deal and will be
eligible to play in their match against Ipswich Town on
Saturday.
The speedy left-winger, who has represented England at various youth levels, has made one first-team start for the Hammers this season, in the Carling Cup clash at Chesterfield last month, having made his Premiership bow at the end of last season against West Bromwich Albion.
