Sporting Focus to pay tribute to 1966

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of England's World Cup victory in 1966, leading sports photographers have created Sporting Focus - a one night only exhibition of beautiful images celebrating the greatest heroes and most famous moments from sporting history.

Guests will be welcomed to Christie's in South Kensington by rugby star Jason Leonard, Sir Henry Cooper, Terry Venables, Clare Balding and Stephanie Moore MBE, along with other sports stars and celebrities.

As you enjoy champagne, delicious canapes and live music, you will see a host of inspiring sports images including; Bobby Moore and Franz Beckenbauer about to duel, Sir Geoff Hurst scoring in the 1966 final, Freddie Flintoff celebrating England's Ashes victory, Kelly Holmes winning gold, Muhammed Ali and Pele.

Memorabilia on offer, in a hand held silent auction and live auction, will include a cricket bat signed by the whole England team, a cast of the boot Bobby Moore wore in the 1966 final, a signed Teddy Sheringham '40' shirt and England and Germany shirts signed by the 1966 teams at their recent London reunion.

Your ticket at £175 guarantees that you will win a wonderful image - which one is the luck of the draw! (Each main ticket holder may bring a guest for £50).

Sporting Focus will raise vital funds to help the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK fight bowel cancer. The Fund was set up by Stephanie Moore in 1993 following Bobby's death from bowel cancer. In the UK, 45 people die each day from bowel cancer, yet 80% of cases can be treated if detected early enough. Proceeds from the event will raise awareness of the disease and help fund research into its causes.
