Win the chance to be our FA Cup final mascot!

West Ham United are delighted to confirm that we will be holding a charity prize draw to give one lucky young Hammers fan the opportunity to be our matchday mascot for the FA Cup final.

For the previous FA Cup rounds, we have organised auctions for the matchday mascot package. However, with the aim of giving every single one of our supporters a fair chance of winning this fantastic prize, it has been decided to create a prize draw via an SMS ballot.

We are now offering ALL Hammers fans the chance to contribute towards a worthy cause and provide a young relative or friend with an unforgettable occasion by entering this once-in-a-lifetime competition.

The winning mascot will meet Alan Pardew and the players before kick-off at the Millennium Stadium, experience the thrill of leading the team out against Liverpool, receive a full matchday kit and a gold leaf book inscribed with his/her name including personally-signed player photos. The package also includes three match tickets for the FA Cup final (one for the mascot, plus two adults tickets).

Once again, all proceeds from this event will go to the young family of Ian Jackson, a long-serving and loyal member of staff at Upton Park who tragically died in January at the age of just 38, leaving a wife and three young children.

To be entered into the ballot, simply text the word HAMMERS followed by your full name to 87070. Each text costs £1.50 and, upon sending your SMS, you will receive a message confirming your entry. Supporters in the Republic of Ireland should text to 57080.

The closing date for all entries is 5.00pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, when one lucky winner will be drawn out and notified of their success. You may enter as many times as you wish, but each text sent will cost £1.50

Please read the terms and conditions below before taking part. The submission of an SMS text will be considered as your acceptance of the terms and conditions.

Terms and conditions:
Only texts submitted before the published closing time and date will be accepted. To send a text, you must be aged 18 and over and have the permission of the bill payer. The winning mascot you put forward for the prize must be aged under 14 years on May 13, 2006. The winning entrant will be contacted by telephone after close of the ballot. The prize is not transferable. This competition represents an invitation to treat only. Unless you receive from West Ham United confirmation that your text is the winning entry and has been accepted by us as the winning entry it shall not be binding upon us. The winning entry will be decided in the absolute discretion of West Ham United and our decision shall be final and binding.
