We take a look back at some of the memorable games, incidents and milestones that have occurred in West Ham United's history during this week…

January 10, 1998 - West Ham recorded their biggest ever Premiership win, a 6-0 thrashing of Barnsley at Upton Park. Frank Lampard, Samassi Abou (2), John Moncur, John Hartson and Stan Lazaridis were the scorers.

January 10, 1914 - Hammers recorded their biggest ever FA Cup victory, defeating Chesterfield 8-1 in the third round. Syd Puddefoot bagged five goals.

January 15,1921 - Hammers winger Ken Bainbridge was born. Ken is the scorer of the West Ham's quickest ever goal, timed at nine seconds, against Barnsley in August 1949.

January 15, 1898 - Thames Ironworks recorded their biggest win of the season, 7-3 over Bromley in the Southern League, and went on to finish the season as Champions.

Birthday boys - January 14 is the birthday of Hammers left back Clive Clarke, born in 1980, and January 12 is the birthday of former Dutch striker Marco Boogers, born in 1967 and signed from Sparta Rotterdam in 1995.
