Ashton hopes for Highbury debut

Club record signing Dean Ashton has been named in the squad for this evening's Premiership clash against Arsenal.

Manager Alan Pardew has named a strong squad to travel the short distance to Highbury this evening for the televised match against the Gunners.

He will once again be without the services of goalkeeper Roy Carroll, who is still suffering from a back injury. Christian Dailly misses the game through suspension and deadline day loan signing Lionel Scaloni is not eligible to play.

The London derby marks the last time the Hammers will play at Highbury ahead of Arsenal's move to the Emirates Stadium next season.

The team will be picked from the following squad:

Shaka Hislop
Stephen Bywater
Yossi Benayoun
Matthew Etherington
Hayden Mullins
James Collins
Teddy Sheringham
Paul Konchesky
Nigel Reo-Coker
Dean Ashton
Shaun Newton
Anton Ferdinand
Marlon Harewood
Bobby Zamora
Clive Clarke
Carl Fletcher
Danny Gabbidon
Yaniv Katan
