ALAN Pardew takes a strong squad of players to the North East for
West Ham United's tea-time clash with Sunderland at the Stadium
of Light, including fit-again David Bellion who will be returning
to his old club.
Bellion came through a midweek Reserve game and travels back to the
club that brought him to English football in 2001. Defender James
Collins limped out after only 10 minutes of that same Reserve game,
but is also fit to travel, as is Clive Clarke who has overcome a
hamstring injury.
The only players on the treatment table are Jimmy Walker (knee) and
Jeremie Aliadiere (groin), although the Arsenal forward is hoping
to resume training next week.
Hogan Ephraim and Mark Noble will be travelling with the England
Under-19s next week and so will not travel to Sunderland.
The team to take on Sunderland will be chosen from the following
squad:
Carroll (GK), Hislop (GK), Etherington, Mullins, Gabbidon, Repka,
Reo-Coker, Ward, Collins, Dailly, Newton, Ferdinand, Harewood,
Zamora, Konchesky, Sheringham, Bellion, Benayoun, Williams, Clarke.
Sunderland v West Ham United at the Stadium of Light, kick-off
5.15pm. Live on Prem Plus.
