NIGEL Reo-Coker and Anton Ferdinand are again with the England
Under-21 squad as Peter Taylor's men prepare for tonight's
European Championship qualifier against Germany.
Nigel captained the Under-21s to a 4-0 win over Wales on Friday
evening, while Anton also played the full 90 minutes. The pair are
looking forward to the clash in Germany this evening, where both
sides have already secured their place in the Play-offs and are
level on 17 points in their group.
Nigel said: "The squad is high on confidence at the moment. We
have a fantastic group of players, the best at this age group in
English football, and we're determined to achieve our goal of
finishing top of the group.
"It meant so much to me when Peter made me captain of the
Under-21s. It's never something I thought that I could do.
"I never dreamed that I'd even be able to play for the
Under-21s so to not only do that, but be made captain, is
incredible and I thank God that I've been able to do both.
"I have to thank Peter Taylor because he's been fantastic
for me and hopefully we can get a result in Germany this
evening."
