NIGEL Reo-Coker was back as captain and Anton Ferdinand also played
the full 90 minutes as the England Under-21s ended their European
Championship campaign with a 4-1 win over Poland at Hillsborough.
Carlton Cole opened the scoring with a deft chip after latching on
to Gary O'Neil's pass and Jerome Thomas made it 2-0 with a
sidefoot shot from the left.
Steven Taylor added a third when he bundled the ball home before
Poland's Marcin Kikut scored a fine solo goal.
After the break, Pawel Strak was sent off before Taylor sealed
the win.
England will now go into the qualifying play-offs to see which
teams will go through to next summer's UEFA European Under-21
Championships.
