WEST Ham United have been nominated for the Professional Team of
the Year Award at the BBC London Sports Awards!
After their promotion-winning campaign in 2004/05 and a fantastic
start to their Premiership return Alan Pardew's team have been
shortlisted alongside Chelsea, Barnet and rugby's Wasps.
Their is also personal recognition for England Under-21 star Anton
Ferdinand, who has been shortlisted for Young Footballer of the
Year along with Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal and Jay Tabb of Brentford.
Defender Chris Powell, who spent last season on loan at Upton Park
before returning to Charlton Athletic, has been shortlisted for
Footballer of the Year along with Chelsea captain John Terry and
Barnet's Guliano Grazioli.
