WEST Ham United is delighted to confirm that England Under-21
international midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has signed a new contract
with the Club.
The new deal ties the 21-year-old to Upton Park until at least
2010.
Nigel has been a key member of the side that has made such a
promising start to the Premiership season, playing in each of the
opening seven games and scoring a memorable long-range goal on the
opening day of the season against Blackburn Rovers.
Nigel arrived at Upton Park from Wimbledon in January 2004, making
his debut in the 2-1 home victory over Rotherham. Having
established a reputation for leadership while with the Dons - he
became the youngest ever captain in the First Division - Nigel
skippered West Ham United to Play-off Final glory against Preston
at the Millennium Stadium in May.
The Southwark born midfielder was also recently made captain of the
England Under-21s.
