Carr Not Expecting The Blues Against Chelsea

WEST Ham United's youth team entertain Chelsea tomorrow morning in the FA Premier Youth League and it is a match Academy Manager Tony Carr is relishing.

Tony said: "This is definitely one the players and myself are looking forward to. Obviously Chelsea are the team of the moment, so everyone wants to beat them, whatever level it is at, and we are no different. They are three points behind us in the League at the moment so getting a win over them would widen the gap nicely."

Carr's high-flying side currently sit at second in the League and he is delighted with the start they have had to the season.

"I am really pleased with the steady progress we are making, we started the season getting a few draws and conceding some soft goals so we worked on eradicating those problems and getting a few more wins under our belt. We just hope we can continue that good form against Chelsea tomorrow."

Tony has not been affected too much by international call-ups this weekend but he is aware the FA Youth Cup is just round the corner and will bear this is mind when choosing his starting eleven.

"I will be putting out a fairly strong team tomorrow but I do have one eye on the FA Youth Cup now, which starts for us in December. We really want to have a good run in the Cup again this season so it is a really exciting period for us as we approach the first round."

The game tomorrow is being played at Little Heath, kick-off 11am.
