ALAN Pardew has named a squad mixed with first-team regulars and
young hopefuls for the trip to Yeovil Town on Saturday.
Former Yeovil star Gavin Williams is among those travelling to
Huish Park, as is Czech trialist Petr Mikolanda who will get
another chance to impress after scoring twice in Hammers final game
of their Sweden tour against Vastra Frolunda.
There are eleven survivors from the trip to Sweden who will make
the trip to Yeovil, including Christian Dailly who has impressed in
his new role as a central midfielder and Shaun Newton, who has
appeared as a left-back as well as in his more familiar role on the
right.
There are six players included in the travelling party who missed
the trip to Sweden. Goalkeeper Matt Reed is part of the squad after
playing in the Reserve friendly at Sudbury Town, while Steve Lomas,
Trent McClenahan, Hogan Ephraim, Darren Blewitt and Youssef
Sofiane are also included.
The team to face Yeovil Town will be chosen from the following
squad:
Bywater (GK), Reed (GK), McClenahan, Mackay, Collins, Ward, Newton,
Chadwick, Williams, Fletcher, Dailly, Zamora, Mikolanda, Lomas,
Ephraim, Blewitt, Sofiane.
Yeovil Town v West Ham United at Huish Park, kick-off 5.00pm.
