MATTY Etherington, Bobby Zamora and Sergei Rebrov all return to the
squad for Saturday's Championship clash against Plymouth,
boosting Alan Pardew's attacking options.
Etherington is in line to make his first appearance in six matches
after recovering from a groin operation, while Rebrov and Zamora
could both play some part on Saturday after missing the trip to
Sheffield United last weekend.
Steve Lomas has completed a full week's training and having
been an unused substitute at Bramall Lane could play for the first
time since damaging his calf at Rotherham in December.
Absentees for the Plymouth game include Luke Chadwick, who will be
out for four weeks with a torn hamstring, Gavin Williams (ankle)
and Don Hutchison (knee).
Defender Christian Dailly has a torn thigh muscle and will be out
for another three weeks, having recovered from the knee operation
he had in September.
The team to face Plymouth Argyle will be chosen from the following
squad:
Bywater (GK), Walker (GK), Repka, Mackay, Powell, Ferdinand,
Mullins, Reo-Coker, Lomas, McClenahan, Fletcher, Noble, Harewood,
Zamora, Sheringham, Cohen, Rebrov, Brevett, Ward,
Etherington.
