A VERY young West Ham United Ladies side was fielded against adult
opponents in the GLRWL Cup at Flanders Field on Sunday.
Striker Tanya Ambersley put the Hammers into an early two goal lead but the visitors bounced back following a goal-mouth scramble.
In the second-half however the threatened Hendon fight back never really materialised and Tanya signed off for 2005 with another two goals to give West Ham a comfortable passage into the third round.
The girls will now meet Pitshanger in the next round.
This was the last West Ham United Ladies fixture of 2005 and all five teams will return to action in January.
