Bobby Hoping To Claim Everton Hat-trick

ONE week, two starts and two goals. Not a bad return for Hammers Play-off hero Bobby Zamora.

But after leaving Ewood Park ultimately disappointed following the 3-2 defeat to Blackburn, Bobby is hoping the Hammers can bounce back at Goodison Park this evening.

"It's going to be another hard game," he admitted. "Three away games in a row is a tough run, but if you had given us six points at the start of it I think we would have taken it.

"We got three against Birmingham and if we can take another three at Everton that would be perfect.

"Three away games in a row is a tough run, but we've played pretty well these last two games and going into Everton there is still a lot of belief in the squad.

"It won't be easy, but we go into every game looking to win it and that's what we'll do at Goodison Park.

"Ther're back in form and got a good result against Manchester United on Sunday. But we know that if we play to the top of our game we can come away with a win."

Two goals in as many games has been the perfect way for the striker to mark his return to first-team action.

"When I play I do alright, I score goals," he said.

"That's all I can do in that situation, just keep knocking on the manager's door and put in good performances.

"I don't think I played particularly well the other night [at Birmingham] but I did my main job. I think the team, the fans and the gaffer would take that. As long as I work hard, do my defensive stuff and come up with a goal then I'm happy.

"I know I can do it. I've just got to play a few more games really. I've spoken to the gaffer and we both know where we stand, I'll just keep working hard in training and putting in performances when I get the chance.

"He's been spot on this season. It's been a bit tough but he's been behind me giving me bits and pieces, sub appearances. It's still nice to get on and play for West Ham."

Bobby and Marlon Harewood appear to have carried their prolific Playoff partnership into the Premiership, with two goals in two games each and creating goals for each other at Ewood Park.

"He set me up and then I set him up at Blackburn," explained Bobby, "and I think that is the marker of any good partnership.

"We play really well together, this season, and also in the Playoffs last season we played together. We've got a thing going I suppose. I like playing with him, he likes playing with me. Fingers crossed we can get some more games.

"People have said about Marlon not scoring but he's got six or seven goals now and in my eyes that is really good. It's the toughest league in the world and it's a first season for him in the Premiership. I know I'd be happy to have six goals."

"It keeps me going, keeps my head up and puts a smile on my face. It also keeps me training and working hard, so I'm pleased with that."
