Squad Number Updates

JUST prior to Saturday's win over Blackburn Rovers there was a late squad number change.

Matty Etherington will now wear number 11 for this season, with Steve Lomas moving to number 12.

MEANWHILE, striker Moses Ashikodi has joined Gillingham on loan until the end of the year. The 18-year-old forward is an England Under-18 international and was a regular at Reserve team level last season.

Academy graduate Darren Blewitt has joined Hereford United on loan until the end of the year. The 19-year-old defender had a spell on loan at Southend towards the end of last season.

Australian full-back Trent McClenahan is set to join MK Dons on loan, also until the end of the year. The 20-year-old is an Australian Under-21 international and has three first-team appearances to his name. He had a similar spell at MK Dons towards the end of last season.

Young goalkeeper Darren Behcet is also currently on loan at Cambridge United. The 18-year-old goalkeeper joined the Hammers Academy in 2003 and has been on the books with West Ham United since the age of nine.
