HAMMERS have been awarded the F and C Performance of the Week Award
for their fine display in the 2-1 win over Wigan.
The Award is voted for by a five-man panel of the League Managers
Association, including Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex
Ferguson, Barry Fry, Dave Bassett and George Burley.
Hammers boss Alan Pardew received a specially engraved crystal vase
from Sky Sports at the training ground on Friday afternoon.
The presentation will be screened on Sky Sports' Soccer
Saturday show this weekend.
Pards said: "It was nice to receive the award on
behalf of the team for what was an excellent
performance.
"It was made all the more pleasing by the win against
Burnley just three days later and now we've got
to keep this good form going with another positive display
against Coventry on Saturday."
