Nigel - So Sad

Nigel Reo-Coker admits that picking himself up after Saturday will be a huge task.

"It is hard to describe how I feel but there are no excuses; we weren't good enough, we should have won, and full credit to Palace - they deserved it," says Nigel.

"We just didn't work hard enough and they were better than us; if we had performed how we could we could have held our heads up but we didn't perform at all."

If Bobby Zamora had managed to score in the first half when he broke through onto Michael Carrick's through ball it could have been a different story, but Nigel shrugs:

"It didn't go in at the end of the day, so you can't do much about that."

Nigel came on when West Ham were chasing the game, and he adds:

"I tried to be positive with the ball and that's all I could do."

As for the aftermath of the defeat, he concludes:

"Everyone wanted to go home after the game and I don't know how I will pick myself up.

"I am very impatient; I have to be in the Premiership by next year."
