Seb Strikes Again

West Ham reserves drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest reserves on Wednesday evening - with Sebastien Carole scoring another spectacular strike, as he did for the reserves last week.

Says Roger Cross:

"We played him on the right wing and when he scored he cut inside and hit an unstoppable shot with his left foot into the top corner."

Seb has yet to make it into the first team since coming in on loan until the end of the season, but Roger says:

"I think he has settled in to the pace of the game here from the start."

Sam Morrow made his West Ham debut on trial from Ipswich, and Roger says of the teenage striker:

"He did okay, showed a couple of nice touches, and was unlucky not to score when the keeper made a good save."

As to the reasons for him coming to West Ham for the time being, Roger explains:

"He did very well against us two weeks ago and I wasn't aware then that he was going to be released in the summer.

"When I did hear I said 'let's give him a couple of weeks' and he might play for Tony Carr's U19s on Saturday against Arsenal.

"Can he make it? That's what we will find out."
