Paul Goddard has left the club and a new coach will be brought in
next week.
Paying tribute to Paul, Alan says:
"Paul is a real gentleman and he has helped me settle in here.
"He has been totally professional but I just felt the chemistry needed to change.
"I have decided to bring in a new coach."
Paul, known affectionately as 'Sarge' of course, rejoined the club he had served as a player when Glenn Roeder appointed him as his number two upon taking over.
He had previously been working as a youth team coach at Ipswich.
