Pards Keen On Canaries

WEST Ham United have drawn a home match against Norwich City in the FA Cup Third Round, the tie due to take place on Saturday 8th January, kick-off 3.00pm.

Hammers manager Alan Pardew is certainly looking forward to meeting the Canaries at Upton Park and insists that the Premiership side will hold few surprises for his West Ham team that fought out two closely contested 1-1 draws against the First Division Champions last season.

"I'm delighted with the home draw against Norwich City," said Pards. "Norwich are a team we are very familiar with, having played them twice last season and earned two credible 1-1 draws. They won't hold any mysteries for us and I'm anticipating a tremendous Cup-tie at Upton Park on 8th January.

"The fact that we have drawn a Premiership team will add some extra spice to the occasion, and the players will be really looking forward to the challenge of taking on the Canaries.

"Norwich will bring a large following down to Upton Park and I'm sure there will be fantastic vocal support from both sets of fans. It should all add up to an electric atmosphere.

"There are plenty of great Third Round ties this year, and ours will definitely be one of them. Upton Park is a great stadium and in Cup-ties there is always that extra edge to the atmosphere, which makes these games so special for the players and fans."

So, book your tickets early because there will be a big crowd at Upton Park when the Hammers take on the Canaries for a place in the Fourth Round on Saturday 8th January.
