Rufus: I'm Progressing

Rufus Brevett is delighted to be back in full training but knows there is still a lot of hard work to be done before he reaches full fitness.

Rufus, who had a foot operation earlier in the season, says:

"It is nice to get the running out of the way and be kicking a ball again - I can just about remember how to do it - and it is just a shame we are running out of games.

"Getting, and hopefully staying, fit is important to me - but the main thing is the club."

Although there is a reserve game in the week, he will not yet be ready for that and he explains:

"I am not rushing things but I feel a lot better.

"It has been a long time - too long, but that is another issue."

Speaking ahead of the Coventry game, he adds:

"It is important we go to where we want to be, though it is difficult with the results we have had and the wins other teams have picked up.

"But there is still a chance and we have all got to believe that - we are all in it together.

"There is still a lot of football to be played and teams are going to be dropping points.

"It is important we look at it now and start winning games, no matter how you do it - especially at home where I think we have been disappointing.

"You have got to play without fear and Saturday is a massive game for the lads and the club - I think everyone realises that.

"The only way you can do it is if you start quickly and get the fans on your side; we have got great support here and they have not really had much to cheer about at home.

"It is important we really get in their faces - and hopefully get that early goal that will settle us down.

"There is no doubt that with the squad we have got we can win the four games; we just have to start believing we can do it.

"If we do, and get into the playoffs, I sincerely believe that we will go up through them - it is just getting there that is the problem."
