Let's Go All The Way

Adam Nowland reckons the race will promotion will go, as Alan Pardew says, "right to the wire."

"It is that tight at the moment and three points can give you a completely different outlook," says Adam, who impressed on entering the fray against Gillingham recently.

"I came on in the last 20 minutes and me and Deano tried to step it up a bit because it was going a bit dead.

"Hopefully it seemed to work and I just gave the ball with Mattie to let him do the rest."

Indeed Adam's assist set Matthew Etherington up for the winner against the Gills, and he says:

"The lads were giving him stick about the pea-roller but they all count and it has got us the three points.

"The lads were happy because we felt we owed the fans one after the Millwall game to get us back on track.

"All day it was a little bit tense especially with Agyemang who I know well so we were always on tenterhooks a little bit.

"Perhaps we should have calmed down after the first goal but we sorted it out in the end and that is the main thing.

"It should have been buy three and get one free but Gillingham snapped him up and he will do well.

"It was a tough week last week but we came out of it, a hard earned victory and one that will take us hopefully back up the league and fighting again."
