Trevor Brooking expects there to be more loan deals done with first division clubs and Premiership sides in the near future.

Trevor brought in Wayne Quinn and Niclas Alexandersson last week on a month's loan and Glenn Roeder had already brought in Matthew Kilgallon from Leeds on a longer term loan as well as Neil Mellor for the season.

"Quite a few first division clubs are starting to have a nibble now for different people; we had to wait until August 31st because the Premiership clubs could loan to each other this time round," says Trevor.

"That was a bit of a blow as we probably missed out on a few that last season would only have gone to the first division as per the rules the season before - people like Carlton Cole or Jermaine Pennant, for instance.

"Now players from the Premiership can only go to Nationwide clubs and one or two are being picked off and we could always extend the loan of Wayne Quinn with Rufus out for at least another two or three months."
