The unveiling of the 'Champions' sculpture, depicting
England's 1966 World Cup win, by HRH The Duke of York this
coming Monday, March 24, has been postponed following the death of
Major Ron Ferguson, whose funeral and memorial service will be
taking place that day.
HRH The Duke of York was set to unveil the sculpture, that will be situated close to West Ham United's Boleyn Ground on the Barking Road junction with Green Street, in his capacity as President of the Football Association.
A new date will be announced shortly.
