Priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children and
senior citizens, tickets can be purchased via the telephone hotline
on 0208 548 2700, at the stadium ticket office or from the club
shops in Lakeside and Bluewater shopping centres.
It will be England¹s first match of the new season and
coach David Platt expects a strong challenge from the Croatians:
"They combine technical and physical qualities and will be
difficult be beat, but we have a lot of quality and experience in
our squad and will go into the match with confidence"
Platt is also looking forward to seeing his team play in London for the first time since he took charge in July 2001: "Upton Park is a fantastic stadium, and with several West Ham players involved in the qualifying campaign so far, we hope that the local fans will turn up in force, create a great atmosphere and help us get the new international season off to the perfect start."
The match is an ideal warm up for the key European Championship qualifiers away to Macedonia in Skopje and home to Portugal at Everton's Goodison Park on 5th and 9th September respectively. England are currently in third spot in Group 7 as they seek to qualify for next year's European Championship, but have their fortunes in their own hands.
