Joe Dismisses 'spat'

Joe Cole says that the players are passionate about perfection - and can not understand why there has been a fuss made about Tomas Repka arguing with Paolo Di Canio after the final whistle at Chesterfield on Tuesday night.

"Winning means a lot to the players and one thing the fans don't have to worry about here is that everyone has their heart in club," says Joe.

"We are trying to pick up our performances and that is the main thing, arguments or not."

Of the game itself, he says: "We can't keep missing chances when we have all that pressure but all credit to them, how many shots did they block?

"Their defence played well, and they got lots of bodies in the way - but we only have ourselves to blame."

And, explaining why he didn't take a penalty, Joe says: "I got a bit of stick for not taking one but I thought it was not a good as idea I had a bit of cramp.

"You do a lot of running in those sorts of games and we were attacking a lot."
