Reserves Win Again

West Ham reserves beat Braintree 4-1 on Wednesday evening - with Titi Camara once again on the scoresheet.

Freddie Eastwood, Glen Johnson, and Youssef Sofiane scored the other goals, and Roger Cross was pleased after the win.

"I was very happy with the performance and attitude of the players," he says.

"It was spot on against a decent non-league side. These games are never easy but against good Ryman League players, and just like against Purfleet recently, the attitude has been first class.

"In the past we have lost to sides like Chelmsford with older reserve sides on our part, but the club has moved on and the attitude now is better.

"We all know how good Dagenham and Redbridge are, and we beat them last week. All I want is for this attitude to carry on all season.

"We have players in the reserves from the under-19s and the fringes of the first team - and we want them to be competing."

With Titi Camara getting his fourth goal of pre-season, Roger adds: "To be honest, I would expect him to be scoring a few against this kind of opposition, and the good thing is that Sofiane got his first goal for the club - I look forward to seeing his performances in the future."

Team: Forde, Khan (Ward 65), Johnson, Minto (Ferdinand 65), McCann, Allen, Britton, McMahon, Camara (Eastwood 45), Sofiane (Mehmet 45), Byrne.
