Another new arrival, Republic of Ireland defender Gary Breen, is also likely to enjoy a taste of the action, as Glenn Roeder adds the final touches to his preparations for the opening league visit to Newcastle United on Monday, August 19.
Tickets for Friday's game, which kicks-off at 8pm, are still available in advance from ticket offices both here and at Southend United, priced at £15 and £10 for Adults and £5 for under-16s and senior citizens.
Supporters will also be able to gain entry on the evening with tickets available from the ticket offices situated inside the main Roots Hall car park and Fairfax Drive. However, supporters are advised to arrive early enough to purchase their tickets and gain entry to the ground, as tickets will not be available on the turnstiles.
