Fredi Returns

Glenn Roeder's squad for the trip to Derby sees the return of Fredi Kanoute, and he is expected to replace Svetoslav Todorov up front.

None of the players on international duty have suffered from their excursions, although Shaka Hislop did not return until Friday morning at 7 o'clock.

"It will be difficult for him, after such a long journey and with the time difference" says goalkeeping coach Ludek Miklosko.

"But we will do everything to get him through the game."

The game marks Don Hutchison's debut, and he will wear the number four shirt.

A notable absentee is former Derby striker Paul Kitson.

Squad: Hislop, Forrest, Bywater, Schemmel, Song, Foxe, Dailly, Winterburn, Sinclair, Carrick, Hutchison, Cole, Potts, Di Canio, Kanoute, Moncur, Defoe, Todorov, Minto, Soma, Courtois, Riza, McCann, Garcia, Byrne.

For Derby, Simo Valakari could make his first senior appearance in nearly nine months. Horacio Carbonari is likely to play his first match of the season, while striker Malcolm Christie is ruled out with a hamstring strain.

The Hammers are 12/1 to win 2-0 and 33/1 to triumph 3-0 - click for details.
