Harry Redknapp Departs

West Ham United and Harry Redknapp regret to announce that Harry and the Club have agreed to part company.

The Board of West Ham United would like to place on record their sincere appreciation of all Harry has achieved during his time managing the Club.

Commenting, chairman Terence Brown said: "Harry Redknapp joined the Club in 1992 after our relegation from the old First Division and has worked tirelessly to build up the club, firstly with Billy Bonds and latterly with Frank Lampard Snr, and has successfully established our team in the Premier League."

Harry Redknapp said: "I've had a chat with the chairman and just feel it's been a tough season. The last eight weeks or so of the season haven't been particularly enjoyable and I feel that, maybe, it's time for a change and I would like to thank the chairman and the Board for all the support they've given me since I've been at the Club.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I think we've played some great football and given the West Ham United fans some of the finest entertainment they've seen in years and I wish the Club every success in the future. I think it's in great hands and I'm sure will only go on and get better and stronger from here and I would like to thank the Board and everybody for the great support I have had."

The Club can also announce that further to the departure of Harry Redknapp as team manager, his assistant, Frank Lampard Snr, has also decided it is the right time for him to leave the Club.

The Board of West Ham United would like to thank Frank for his valued service to the club during his time working closely with Harry and wish both Harry and Frank every success in the future.
