Glenn Takes Charge

The club have announced that Reserve Team Coach Glenn Roeder will take over as Caretaker Manager until the end of the season following Harry Redknapp's departure today.

Glenn will take charge of team affairs for the final match of the season at Middlesbrough on May 19.

Meanwhile, Managing Director Paul Aldridge has paid tribute to Harry's efforts during his time in charge at the club.

Said Paul: "I would like to put on record my personal thanks to Harry Redknapp, who has worked tirelessly on behalf of the club since taking over from Billy Bonds in 1994.

"After taking over the reins, Harry built a team that has become established in the Premier League and all the staff at West Ham United wish both Harry and Frank Lampard every success in the future."
