Blue Move

Chelsea will not be the first visitors to Upton Park next season after all.

Both clubs have agreed to rearrange the Premiership match - scheduled for Wednesday, August 22 - to Wednesday, October 24.

The switch follows Hammers' earlier request to the Premier League for a delay to their home programme while redevelopment of the new Dr Martens West Stand continues.

Chelsea also favoured the delay in visiting East London to give them more time to prepare for their first round UEFA Cup tie.

So their fellow UEFA Cup contenders Leeds United will now kick-off the Boleyn campaign on Saturday, August 25.
