Hands Off Says Glenn

Glenn Roeder says that no bids have been made for any of his squad yet - and that anyone attempting to prise away the players he wants to keep at the club will be firmly rebuffed.

"No-one has shown an interest in any of our players at the moment and, as I've said many times, it is easy to sell your best players.

"I won't be entertaining any bids for what we consider to be the best players in our squad.

"As far as I'm concerned, all the players I want to keep, I can."

He has not ruled out some summer sales, however, and adds: "I suppose there are certain players around the fringe of the squad who we wouldn't stand in the way of if an offer was made."

And while the majority of the players are sunning themselves on the beach, Glenn is working around the clock to assemble his squad.

"Every moment of the day is being taken up by phone calls and meetings, and we are very busy," he explains. "But we are making plans for next year and it must be done now."
