The capacity for the game against Aston Villa on Wednesday night will be 32,800 again, confirms ticket office manager Steve Kitcher.

Then, for the Arsenal match, the Hammers should once more top their record for an all-seated Upton Park when the extensions to the Centenary stand upper and lower tiers open, making the capacity 34,248.

And, for the Boxing day fixture against Derby County the capacity will have increased again to 35,647.

"Progress is being made towards that figure of over 35,000, which we are all very excited about," says Steve.

"We are looking forward to welcoming more and more fans, who have been frustrated in their efforts to buy tickets in the past because capacity has not allowed.

"There are still some tickets available from the ticket office for the Villa game and if any remain tomorrow they will be available on the evening priced from £26 for adults and £15 for under-16s and OAPs."

Steve hopes the fixture will hark back to the days of terracing, when the famous Upton Park night time atmosphere terrorised opponents.

"I certainly hope that we can get the old 'under the floodlights' atmosphere going again on Wednesday," he says.

"Against Spurs it was a little muted for such a large crowd, but obviously it works both ways, with the players looking for the vocal support while it sometimes takes something on the pitch to get the crowd going in the stands.

"Obviously for the moment the fans in the Dr. Martens stand are further away but if we can get that noise going again I am sure it will all come together."
