Tough In Texas

West Ham's youngsters have had mixed fortunes in the Dallas Cup so far - and need a win in their next game to stand a chance of progressing.

The annual trip to Texas has seen them draw their first game and lose their second.

The Hammers grabbed a point in the opening game of the tournament against mexican side Cruz Azul with Glen Johnson opening the scoring on 9 minutes and James Allen equalize 13 minutes from the end.

Glen's goal followed a goalmouth scramble, while James latched on to a Clark header to score from the edge of the box.

Freddie Eastwood had a couple of chances but was unlucky.

The second game was something of a disappointment, with Johnson miskicking in the sixth minute, allowing Chicago Magic to grab, and hold on to, the lead.

Only two of the four teams in the group progress to the final stages.
