West Ham United women’s team are delighted to confirm that Anouk Denton has signed a contract extension with the Club until the summer of 2028.
Denton has been ever present for Rehanne Skinner’s side in the Barclays Women’s Super League this term, putting in impressive performances at full-back.
As well as showing her defensive diligence, the 21-year-old has also scored twice so far this season, breaking the deadlock against Everton in October and netting a stunning strike against Crystal Palace in December, which was deservedly nominated for the WSL’s Goal of the Month.
Our No18 originally joined the Club in 2021, initially on loan from Arsenal, before returning permanently in 2023 after a spell in America with Louisville Cardinals at the University of Louisville.
Denton has since made 40 appearances for the Hammers and is pleased to have signed new terms in east London.
“It feels amazing to have signed a new contract at West Ham,” she said.
“I have loved my time at the Club so far. I feel like I have matured and developed over the last couple of years and feel really settled here.
“I’m grateful to the Club for the belief and support they have shown me. I’m loving my football and playing alongside this group of girls, and I’m excited for what’s to come moving forwards.”
Her consistent quality in Claret and Blue has been replicated on the international stage, with Denton enjoying regular call-ups to England’s U23s squad.
She is determined to fulfil a lifetime ambition of breaking into the Lionesses’ first team and believes a new contract at West Ham will help her on her way to opening that door.
Manager Skinner also shared her delight at securing one of the Club’s brightest prospects to a new contract.
“We are delighted that Anouk has extended her stay at the Club,” she said.
“Anouk is a top player and her progress over the last couple of seasons has been clear for everyone to see. There are not many players in the WSL that have the level of athleticism that Anouk possesses, allowing her to be effective both in and out of possession, and this is becoming a real asset to her game.
“She has been a key player for the team this season, as well as for the England youth sides throughout her career, and I’m sure she will continue to go from strength to strength in a West Ham shirt in years to come.”
Everyone at West Ham United would like to congratulate Anouk on her new contract.
