Amber Tysiak signs contract extension

West Ham United women’s team are delighted to announce that Amber Tysiak has signed a contract extension at the Club until the summer of 2028.

The defender joined the Hammers in January 2023 from Oud-Heverlee Leuven, which saw her sign her first professional contract, and has gone on to make 33 appearances for the Club since.

The Belgium international’s consistent performances have seen her continue to earn call-ups for her national team and become a mainstay in Rehanne Skinner’s backline, having played every minute in the Barclays Women’s Super League this term.

A player who is going from strength to strength, the 24-year-old shared her delight at putting pen to paper and extending her stay at the Club.

“I’m very excited to sign a new contract here,” she said.

“I’ve grown a lot as a player and as a person since joining West Ham. I want to keep progressing both on and off the pitch, and to challenge myself in the best league in the world.

“West Ham feels like a home away from home for me, and I’m already looking forward to continuing my chapter with this special Club.”

Determined to help the Hammers hit their heights, the defender is striving for more clean sheets and victories in Claret and Blue.

Playing in the best league in the world is only helping improve Tysiak’s confidence and capabilities, but she also put her performances down to the support of the staff at the Club, including her manager Skinner, who is equally pleased to see her centre-half extend her stay at Chadwell Heath.

“We are delighted that Amber has agreed a new deal,” said Skinner.

“Amber has shown an incredible work ethic which has led to significant development in her role both on and off the pitch.

“For a player so young, Amber has a wealth of experience on the international stage and it’s been great to see her use that experience to grow into a leadership role within our group.

“Amber has become a solid part of our defence and the exciting thing is that I know there is still a lot more to come from her. I’m looking forward to seeing her continue to flourish in Claret and Blue in the peak years of her career.”

Everyone at West Ham United would like to congratulate Amber on her new contract.
