Four West Ham United first team players have received call-ups for their respective international teams for the September internationals.
New Hammer Edson Álvarez has been named in the Mexico squad for their two matches next month, with the reigning CONCACAF Gold Cup holders facing Australia and Uzbekistan in a pair of friendlies in the United States.
El Tri will first play Australia at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday 10 September, with kick-off set for 3am BST (Saturday 9 September – 9pm CDT), before meeting Uzbekistan at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday 13 September at 12.30am BST (Tuesday 12 September – 8.30pm EDT).
Álvarez has made 69 appearances for the Mexican national team since his debut in February 2017.
Elsewhere, Maxwel Cornet has also been selected for international duty, with the versatile forward named in the Ivory Coast squad for upcoming clashes with Lesotho and Mali.
Cornet and his international compatriots will face Lesotho in a Group H Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday 9 September at the Stade Laurent Pokou in San-Pedro. Kick-off is set for 5pm GMT (6pm BST).
Ivory Coast have already qualified for the tournament finals, which the nation are hosting in early 2024, and have ten points from five matches played in Group H.
Cornet and the Ivory Coast squad will then take on Mali on Tuesday 12 September, with kick-off at 8pm GMT (9pm BST). The two sides will face each other at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara in Abidjan.
Cornet has played 30 times for his nation, having made his debut In June 2017, and has scored six goals for Ivory Coast.
Finally, Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal will be in action in September as the Czech Republic face Albania and Hungary.
International captain Souček and defender Coufal will line up for the Czech national side against Albania on Thursday 7 September in a UEFA 2024 European Championship qualifier at the Eden Arena, the venue where West Ham United won the 2023 Europa Conference League back in June. Kick-off is set for 8.45pm CEST (7.45pm BST).
The Czech Republic sit top of Group E after three games played, with two wins and a draw, while Albania sit in second on six points.
The duo will then be in friendly action against Hungary on Sunday 10 September at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest. Kick-off is set for 6pm CEST (5pm BST).
