Alphonse Areola has been nominated for the November Premier League Castrol Save of the Month.
Areola made a superb stop to deny Zeki Amdouni in West Ham United’s 2-1 win away at Burnley on Saturday. With the Irons a goal behind, the Frenchman got a strong hand down to his left side to deny Amdouni’s shot from finding the net, and the Hammers would go on to claim all three points late on.
It is that excellent save that has been shortlisted for the November award, and fans can vote for Areola now here!
The West Ham No13 won the October Save of the Month award for his brilliant stop to deny Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz, meaning Areola is on the hunt for consecutive Premier League honours.
Also shortlisted for the November award is Tottenham Hotspur’s Gulielmo Vicario, André Onana of Manchester United, Alisson Becker of Liverpool, Nick Pope of Newcastle and Luton Town’s Thomas Kaminski.
Voting is open now for the November Save of the Month, and closes at 12pm GMT on Monday 4 December. The winner will be announced at 2pm on Friday 8 December 2023.
