In the latest instalment of our 2023/24 Season Review, we revisit the Irons' fortunes throughout a February that consisted solely of mouth-watering Premier League action…
West Ham United's top-flight endeavours continued in the second month of 2024 - and there was a lot to love about the Hammers' end to February.
Jarrod Bowen’s career-first hat-trick inspired West Ham United to a deserved 4-2 win over Brentford that brought a welcome end to a six-game winless run.
The hosts burst out of the blocks at London Stadium and England forward Bowen notched a quick-fire double before the seven-minute mark, only for the Bees to hit back through Neal Maupay.

Chances for both sides saw the game remain in the balance until Bowen took his season goal count to 14 with a neat header in the 63rd minute, before Emerson made it 4-1 with a stunning strike and then Yoane Wissa grabbed a late consolation for Brentford.
Bowen’s incredible evening helped him move closer to Paolo Di Canio’s record for most goals in a single Premier League season by a West Ham United player – one he would equal by the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign.
Before the win over the Bees, West Ham endured defeats to Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and Manchester United.
The Irons did, however, start the month with a 1-1 draw at home to in-form AFC Bournemouth, thanks to James Ward-Prowse’s second-half penalty.
