A 2022/23 campaign that saw plenty of memorable moments continues with a delightful win for the U21s earlier this year!
Divin Mubama's brilliant double helped West Ham United U21s claim a memorable 3-2 win away to table-topping Chelsea in January.
George Earthy gave the Irons the lead at Kingsmeadow with an early, near-post finish, just three days after firing the U18s into the FA Youth Cup fifth round away at Burnley.
Mubama grabbed his first, and West Ham's second, when he poked in Kaelan Casey's ball back across goal from a set-play.
Charlie Webster halved the deficit for the Blues but Mubama added the Irons' third with a brilliant finish on the stroke of half-time.
Mason Burstow scored a second for the home side to ensure a tense, final 20 minutes of the fixture, although the Blues were reduced to ten men when Derrick Abu was sent off.
Nonetheless, the Hammers had to dig in deep, with captain Krisztian Hegyi making a string of sensational saves in goal to ensure the development team returned to east London with all three points.
