Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, presented by Heineken...
On this day in 1992, Clive Allen and Trevor Morley were the goalscorers as West Ham United saw off Southend United 2-0 at Boleyn Ground.
The Hammers had made a stumbling start to their Division One promotion push, and went into the game against the Shrimpers sitting 16 points behind league leaders Newcastle United, following a 5-2 reverse away defeat at Tranmere Rovers a week prior.
But once Morley powered home a header from close range after a well-worked set-piece, the three points against Southend were rarely in doubt.
A brilliant diving header from Allen in the second half proved enough to seal the victory in a season which ended with Billy Bonds' West Ham United achieving their aim of winning promotion to the Premier League.
