West Ham United's outstanding start to the 2015/16 season continued on this day nine years ago when Chelsea were defeated at the Boleyn Ground.

Mauro Zárate opened the scoring, while Nemanja Matić was dismissed for collecting two first half yellow cards.

The Blues still levelled through Gary Cahill, but West Ham were not deterred and Andy Carroll's towering header secured a 2-1 victory.
